With an English/Indonesian background, I was born and raised in the Netherlands, 26 years old. I was always into sports since I was young. I started off doing karate when I was 9 until my 16th. After that I did kickboxing for a couple of years. When I was 16 I started going to the gym next to kickboxing. Off course I was just lifting weights without a real goal or schedule back then and the foods I was eating didn’t really go that much further than the burger king.

I started going to flight school a year after I graduated from high school, 19 years old. Being based in a small village somewhere in the northern part of the Netherlands, where there was nothing more than the flight school, the airport, my home and the gym, gave me lots of free time. I focussed on actually going to the gym on a daily basis and it didn’t take long before people around me started to see that my body was changing and started to give me compliments. It’s a great feeling to hear that something you are working for is actually paying off! So I really started to look into the whole “lifting weights”, started reading articles and books about it. This is where my love for the fitness really began! Found out that it’s a science on how your body reacts to weight lifting and the types of foods you eat. It did take some years of trial and error before I found out what mistakes I was making in the gym and outside the gym. I think since a couple of years ago, I would say I mastered the whole “game”, especially the flying next to it didn’t make the process easier. I’m someone who constantly loves to learn new things and I think that I keep learning new stuff about lifting and dieting on a monthly bases.

I’m off course also a pilot who loves his job. I graduated from the pilot academy when I was 21 and immediately had a job in Indonesia, flying for a turboprop company. It didn’t take longer than 3 months and I got offered another job in Europe to fly the boeing 737-800Ng for Ryanair. I chose for it and got based in Girona, Spain. I was flying to various destinations throughout Europe and Northern Africa for almost 4 years and I enjoyed it a lot. But I’m someone who always wants to take things to the next level for myself and for me that was flying intercontinental. I got hired last year to fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and I’m still enjoying it every single day. With Ryanair I was based in one place where I would start and finish in Girona. That gave me the opportunity to prepare my meals at home, because I was living there. With long haul it’s a bit more challenging. You pass different timezones, you don’t have your own kitchen and it’s difficult tracking your macronutrients. This didn’t take away my love for lifting weights. Off course I had to take it to a whole different level, but it’s not impossible..just a bit more challenging..so what!

I’m here to share my stories, experiences and I hope that I can help you towards the direction you eventually want to go. I hope to help and inspire you to become the best at what you can be!
