Great and Easy foods to pack for your next trip!
Here are some great “nutritional” items which are perfect to take with you when going on a trip! Comment if you have any more suggestions what to take with you.
Protein powder
On a trip you will most likely get a lack of protein. Therefore I always pack a small little box of protein powder with me. The security at the airport won’t comment about it. It happens quite often that people take their whey powder with them. An alternative are protein bars. But I prefer the powder.
Oatmeal
I almost always try to stack up on oatmeal packets. They stay good forever and they’re great filling snacks full of great macronutrients and vitamins. In this case I take small packets of with like 30-45 grams of oatmeal with me which you can prepare with just hot water.
Fruit
I always pack some bananas and apples with me. They’re cheap, filling and a great snack for on the go! An apple a day keeps the doctor away…well a banana works too…
Water
Try to drink a lot of water during trips. Take a bottle with you from home. Finish before you reach the security and keep the empty bottle until you pass it. Refill the bottle with tap water if the country provides safe tap water. I know it doesn’t taste great sometimes, but it beats being dehydrated.
Bonus:Gym Clothes
Not something nutritional. But people often forget to pack an extra pair of shoes for working out! I ask a colleague if they want to go on a run or so and I often get a response that they forgot their gym clothes. So they end up drinking booze and eating chicken wings instead!
